Who we are

ManuFx is a managed manufacturing platform, backed by HOJ and run from Bengaluru, India. Businesses send us their requirements; we manufacture, inspect and deliver them through our network of verified manufacturers.

This policy covers our website and the ManuFx platform, for customers and manufacturers alike. “We” and “ManuFx” mean us; “you” means you and the company you act for.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run orders between businesses:

• Account details: your name, company, work email, phone number and password. We store the password only as a secure hash.
• Company details, when your company is verified: legal name and entity type, registration and tax numbers (such as CIN, PAN and GSTIN), addresses, directors and shareholders, the authorised person’s contact details, financial information for credit review and supporting documents.
• Bank details, for manufacturers we pay. We show only the last four digits of an account number on screen.
• Your files: drawings, specifications, bills of materials, purchase orders and certificates you upload.
• Order records: requirements, quotes, orders, messages, inspection and shipping records, invoices and payments.
• Technical details: the IP address used when you sign up or request an email code, and records of who did what on the platform. Our logs never contain passwords, codes or the contents of your files.

Cookies and similar technology

We set one cookie: a secure session cookie that keeps you logged in. It cannot be read by scripts on the page and expires after 12 hours. Your browser also stores small interface preferences, such as the last tab you opened, on your own device.

We use no advertising or analytics trackers. Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

If you choose “Use my location” when entering a delivery address, your browser asks ipapi.co and OpenStreetMap to look up the address. Nothing is looked up unless you choose it.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account, including the five-digit codes we email to confirm your address or reset your password. Each code expires after 5 minutes.
• To verify companies before they trade on ManuFx.
• To prepare quotes, place and manage orders, inspect parts and arrange delivery.
• To invoice, collect and make payments, and to keep tax and accounting records.
• To support you, and to keep the platform secure and free of misuse.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Customers and manufacturers never deal with each other directly, and our servers keep each side’s details from the other:

• A manufacturer sees the requirement it is asked to quote or make, not the customer’s company name, documents or delivery address.
• A customer never learns which manufacturer makes its parts, what any manufacturer quoted, or why one was chosen.
• Within ManuFx, staff see what their role needs to run your orders.

We also rely on a few service providers, who process data only on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services, which hosts the platform, your files and our backups in its Mumbai region, in India.
• Hostinger, which delivers our email.
• Google Fonts, ipapi.co and OpenStreetMap, as described under cookies.

We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

How we protect it

The platform and its database run on encrypted storage. Your files are kept in private, encrypted storage that is never public. Nightly backups are encrypted too. Access depends on each person’s role, passwords are stored as secure hashes, and bank account numbers are masked.

How long we keep it

• Quotes, orders, invoices, payments and the files attached to them are business and tax records. We keep them, and we correct them by adding a new version, never by overwriting the old one.
• An unfinished sign-up, where the email was never confirmed, is deleted after 24 hours.
• Backups are kept for 30 days.
• When a company deactivates one of its people, their name stays on the records they took part in.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it as a business record. You can also withdraw consent you have given, and raise a concern about how we handle your data.

ManuFx serves businesses. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date.
